It sure was a fun day. The first trial of the season was today, and I managed to successfully use the technique of keeping weight over the back wheel, arms straight and hips out while in a sharp turn on slick mud. It worked like a charm! I’m still too jerky on both clutch and brakes for it to work each time, but there were enough times that did work that I’m sure it saved me several points! I’m glad I practiced it my last couple of rides. By days end my clutch and braking were a bit smoother, but these are definitely weaknesses I need to improve. @Neil Price your explanation of the weight back technique was much appreciated.
