Hey guys … I’ve been practicing static balancing in the shed the last couple of days in the rainy weather and honestly it’s like I’ve regressed a year or more. I’ve been feeling a bit down that my riding isn’t improving, and I fall over a lot. I started surfing the net for info on other people who’ve had problems with balancing and stumbled on an old coaching article from here in Australia which covers basic trials setup and goals etc (NOTE: total change of subject coming!) and noticed something I’ve heard before … that when you compress your bike’s suspension, the front and back should drop at a similar time and rate. Mine’s been feeling very springy in the rear but it’s a hard thing to check on your own. Till I had a brainwave and put the phone on slo-mo video while I squished the bike. The phone is such a useful tool! I found that wow, my rear clearly dropped much faster than the front. Hopefully you can follow the vid and see the results as I tweak the settings a bit. I know this won't help with balancing but it might help me get over stuff better! https://youtu.be/39gqG5RCA-M
