Advice on Double Step - @grahamcraggs This is a pretty hectic step Graham, just to attempt it properly will take some guts! Especially being in UK conditions! I hope the video covers it and I don't confuse you. Please take into account that I see this as the best way to approach it so you get the most development. You could just hit it and jump to the top, but then you would not be able to adapt to steeper or harsher kickers. Major Points - We want to reduce the lift off the kicker and flatten the trajectory a little so you cover the distance more than lift - The impact with the kicker is what is really the core thing to get comfortable and confident with. This needs quite strong leverage. - We want to create a little lift before the kicker so its like a splat onto and off the kicker. This sets the bike up to deal with the kicker more easily. - You will get the most solid traction off the ground. To implement it; Find a "Kicker" that has a nice sharp corner and is not a ramp. This could be a rock/log/dirt step so you can get comfortable with a ride/splat with a very early GO so some lift is created before the kicker. Bring the GO moment a little earlier by a 300-600mm Get comfortable with the impact of the kicker. Hold leverage against the kicker, so that you can remain stable through hitting the kicker. Once you feel comfortable, allow the bike to carry through a little more so you don't stop against the kicker. You could build up a step beyond the kicker or go back to the trial section and fill the gap a little so you can play with carrying off the kicker. You will need enough RPM to cover the gap. Once you are covering the gap then you can unweight and push the bike onto the step. That will allow you to adjust when you get it slightly wrong into the future. If I have confused you at all let me know!
