You progress faster when you are focused. It is a significant part of development in anything you do. It is a difficult thing in modern life. We are all so busy and our attention is jumping constantly from one thing to another. You can kind of get into a habit. I often see this on 3 levels that affect riding. 1. Having too many ""hobbies"". If you do too many things, you must accept being a master of none. 2. Lack of focus in training. Aimless riding just doing what feels good, gets you nowhere. List your weakest skills and work on them. When you have done the work then do the fun aimless stuff. 3. Lack of focus within competition. Focus is something you can train and develop. Practice cutting out the external noise around you and focus on what matters. Put a simple repetitive process into your training process. Even better if you use habit stacking so it becomes an automation. Do you have a method you use to train your focus? Or do you need some advice? Let me know in the comments...."
