When climbing hills, etc., on the enduro bike, it is a handy idea to sit so your back is perpendicular to the seat whilst your arms are straight. This will really help stop you sliding off the back of the seat. When you hang back with straight arms you kind of end up like an abseilor. When they hang back off the rope their feet push squarely into the rock and they won't slip. If they try to stand up their feet will slip. Rarely do riders know or experiment with how far back they can hang off the bars and how much traction they can gain. "
