Hello all, just one week after joining this community it's time for my first feedback. First: A really big thanx for your warm welcome here !! That feels very good. And I found it very interesting, that here are some more „silver agers“ … Yes, when I began riding my first trialsbike four years ago, the first thing I wanted to learn was to wheelie and to ride impressive obstacles … A good friend gave me one very helpful advice: "Join a club – not the next around the corner, but the best you can reach, within a distance you are willing to drive to, for every training session." So I joined the AMC Kerzenheim, one of the eldest and biggest clubs in Germany, one and a half hours away, with a wonderful training area within a forest, with lots of natural obstacles and with hills. And with some very helpful and experienced hobby-coaches, from whom I learnt a lot, yet. Sadly the regular clubs training is for kids and very young riders only, who are riding in competitions. They are the future and their learning differs much in comparison to the learning of elderly club members. Aside of all what I learnt within the last four years here at the local club, I searched for further informations, mainly on Youtube. But most of that impressive stuff is useless for me, as it doesn't help to decide what to learn in which sequence and - much more important – how to learn. Within the last days I was soaking all the informations of „Trial 5 - The Progrssive Program – Step1“ like a sponge. I am really deeply impressed, about the quality of this coaching program and the help within the community!!! Hey #askneil , I guess you've got THE PLAN !! :-) +++++ O.K., reset, back to zero: Try to learn again, from the beginning: Last tuesday we had bad weather and I was alone at the club's area. And for the very first time I did one hour of focused riding just around the obstacles, not over them … and in the end I had the feeling, that my balance was different, better than before. Can that be true? Was this the first +1% progression ?? I hope so ! :-) Can't await the next training session. 😀
