Got to looking at the results today. I missed 3rd by a single 5. That five was because I let a section get in my head. It was a rocky creek bed entered by going down a decent hill, followed by a muddy square edged bank,a ride along said bank, back across,up a wet angled root and some small rocks on the bank, a tight uphill turn over some small rocks and out. I cleaned this all day, except the first loop. I was so in my head I missed a marker. I wasn't scared of getting hurt. I was afraid of not being "perfect", and of taking a single dab. That cost me a podium spot and a nice custom mug... There is a lesson in here somewhere, but how it applies to you, if it does, I'll let you figure that out.
