At Friday arvo trials here this afternoon, we had some goes at this rock I call El Capitan. I kept saying to Steve that he's riding it fully on throttle, not doing RSG - I think his long term enduro instincts kick in and he just hits it the same way each time. I tried to demo more of the RSG technique, with mixed results. Steve was hitting a part of the rock that has a more curved top edge, and the ground ramps slightly up towards the bottom of the rock. For my last attempts I hit the higher, squarer part where the ground stays flat right to the bottom of it. Looking at my technique I can already see how much I still have to learn. My thought is that I'm getting all the "go" done too quickly and there's no leg extension left when the rear tyre impacts the face. But I'm not sure how to change that. https://youtu.be/ogRo675f0Jk
