Just a couple of short videos of some stuff at my place. Not asking for feedback - it's just I did these vids for our group and thought I'd post them on here too. I'm fortunate that in the last 6 months a new guy started coming to the informal Friday Arvo Practice Session at my place here at Bellthorpe. Dave's about my age (62!) and retired like me. He's a lot higher level rider than me - he hops very proficiently (altho to the detriment of his turning skills I wonder??) and a really nice guy, great company. He's super reliable and makes a point of turning up every Friday, and sometimes it's just him and me. He's positive and keen, thinks of new things to try, and really stops and gives me some really focussed coaching. The bush areas I've cleared on the fringes of our paddocks are not friendly trials country, with jagged boulders, clay mud, piles of thick mulch, sticks and leaf litter; lots of mossy loose rocks, and when wet it's quite unpleasant! And leeches!! But Dave has been keen to create some tricky lines amongst the slopes, rocks, mud and roots. It's been really good hard training, and after all the work I've put into clearing scrub it makes me feel great that we're putting those areas to good use.
